In Nizhnekamsk, thousands of people bid farewell to the heroically fallen firefighter Marat Nazipov.

Today, the body of the commander of the 29th fire department, Marat Nazipov, who died while on duty, was laid to rest. To say goodbye and accompany the heroic firefighter on his final journey today were not only his comrades, colleagues, but also relatives, friends, close ones, classmates, group mates, searchers with whom Marat went to search for the remains of participants of the Great Patriotic War, and simply concerned people who paid tribute to the fallen firefighter. The farewell ceremony took place in the square near the House of Folk Art. The host of the mourning event, the deceased's comrade Andrey Smetanin, began with verses he dedicated to the hero.

He was just a familiar guy,

Who worked as a firefighter in one of the units.

A strong fellow with a short haircut,

That's how I remembered him, like many people.

He was younger than me, by about twenty years.

He smiled, greeting, shook hands firmly.

And he loved, like many, to "play with the gear,"

When he put it on with pleasure.

He had joined the team just recently,

Probably not even five years had passed.

He carried his service proudly, decently, diligently,

But, unfortunately, his time had come.

The last day of March. A leak. On the way out!

The combat crew rushed to the scene.

At that fateful moment, everything happened.

      He met his inevitable fate.

The fighters found themselves in a gas cloud.

A spark, an explosion erupted, fire flew.

It scorched the guys mercilessly all at once.

They seemed to have made it out? Marat could not...

He was flesh of the flesh of the firefighting brotherhood,

Where our hearts beat in the same rhythm.

Now his home is where the heavenly kingdom is,

And here he fulfilled his duty to the end.

"The tragedy occurred on March 31, 2026. Died while on duty during the firefighting operation, our comrade - the commander of the 29th fire department, Marat Nazipov.

Upon the alarm signal, his duty crew arrived at the accident site at the production site of Nizhnekamskneftekhim. The firefighters immediately began to deploy forces and means for firefighting and rescuing people.

Suddenly, an explosion occurred. Marat Nazipov sustained injuries incompatible with life. He was 27 years old," the host continued.

The memory of Marat was honored with a moment of silence.

"Today is a very difficult day in the history of the fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan. Marat was one of us, one of the nearly three thousand people who ensure reliable fire protection of fire and explosion hazardous industrial facilities. Those who are on the front line, right at the site, on minute readiness. We know how difficult it is, we know how we risk. But we took on this responsibility, we know that among us there are real heroes. Guys who go on shift not for the highest salary and provide reliable fire protection 24 hours a day all year round. Our team is known throughout Russia, they know what tragedy has occurred. From Kaliningrad to the Far East, there are twenty thousand firefighters from contract units of the Federal Fire Service. All of them send their condolences to all relatives and our labor collective. They are ready to provide us with any assistance and support. Some of our guys are undergoing treatment, some continue work on debris removal and conducting necessary work at the site. Our work is under constant control by the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the head of the republic. We honor and cherish the memory of the fallen firefighters of Tatarstan, who fulfilled their duty to the end for the sake of saving others' lives. Marat among those 29 fallen firefighters of Tatarstan has forever inscribed his name in golden letters in the history of the fire service of the republic. He became the thirtieth in this mournful and tragic post-war list of firefighting heroes. We will always remember his feat. He remains with us forever. No event will go without a memory of him. I want to address Marat's parents. You know that your son is one of the best, he went to work with pleasure. Colleagues say he was a cheerful, reliable guy who knew his job, developed, and never stopped. Thank you for raising such a son. Know that the firefighting collective is a collective with a great history, the brotherhood of firefighters is unshakeable, we always solve all issues together in sorrow and in joy. By the decision of the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for courage and heroism shown during firefighting, Marat Nazipov will be nominated for a state award. Eternal memory to the hero!" said Rafail Motygullin, head of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Management of Contract Units of the Federal Fire Service of the State Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan."

"I knew him not only as a person, but as my subordinate. Even though he was a young guy, he could determine how to act. Unfortunately, after 35 years, we have faced tragedy again. In 1989, three firefighters died in our squad while extinguishing a fire at a site. And today we are saying goodbye to our colleague. It is still hard to realize that tomorrow he will not be with us. Thank you to the parents for such a son. He was an example not only for his colleagues in the combat crew, but many unit leaders could take an example from the human qualities that Marat had. Our squad will never forget him, and he will forever be in the memory of our colleagues!" noted Kamile Shigapov, head of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Management of Contract Units of the Federal Fire Service of the State Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan."

The body was carried out, tears of farewell, grief in the eyes of relatives and comrades... Marat Nazipov was buried at the Alley of Heroes in the Muslim cemetery of Nizhnekamsk. The memory of a true firefighter will always live in the hearts of firefighters and rescuers of Tatarstan.
