Pensioners in Tatarstan receive a social supplement of up to 13,800 rubles.

      In Tatarstan, non-working pensioners are entitled to a social supplement. It is granted to those whose monthly income is below the subsistence minimum established for this category of citizens. This year, the threshold in the republic reaches 13,844 rubles. As reported by the press service of the Social Fund of the Republic, the average amount of such an increase currently stands at 3,611 rubles. The fund clarified that pension payments are received by 1,099,855 residents of Tatarstan. Since January 2026, there has been an increase in insurance pensions. It affected both working and non-working citizens. The increase was 7.6%. From April 1, social pensions were also indexed. Their amount increased by 6.8 percent. As of today, the average old-age insurance pension in the republic is 26,550 rubles. When assessing the need for a supplement, specialists combine several types of income. The pension itself, lump-sum payments from savings, monthly cash payments, and the value of the social package are taken into account. Monetary support measures are also included. These are compensations for utilities, telephone, and transportation. Benefits that a person receives in kind are not summed up. If the final figure turns out to be less than the subsistence minimum for pensioners in the region, the Social Fund assigns the missing amount. An application from the citizen is not required for this.
