The businessman was engaged in recruiting citizens for military service under contract. The security forces believe that Korneikov used his official position: he was looking for candidates among those who independently approached the military enlistment office and passed their details to the entrepreneur. After that, documents were drawn up as if it was the businessman who attracted these people. The investigation believes that from November 2025 to March 2026, the entrepreneur formalized four people under this scheme. For them, the businessman was supposed to receive 1.2 million rubles; the security forces believe that the larger part of this amount—1 million 56 thousand rubles—was intended for the military commissioner. According to sources from "Real Time," the detainee denies his guilt. No information has yet been reported about the measure of restraint chosen for him.
