The Republic of Tatarstan holds a leading position in Russia in milk production: according to the results of the first two months of 2026, the milk yield in the region amounted to 285 thousand tons.
In January and February 2026, Tatarstan produced 285.3 thousand tons of milk, which is 7.6 percent more than in the same period last year. According to Rosstat data, the republic ranked first among all regions of Russia in the volume of milk produced. As stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic, Marat Zyabbarov, during the final board meeting, in 2025, Tatarstan commissioned 18 dairy complexes with a total capacity of over 10 thousand heads. The Krasnodar Territory came in second with an indicator of 218 thousand tons, and the Udmurt Republic was third (177 thousand tons). The top five also included Voronezh (149.6 thousand tons) and Kirov (141 thousand tons) regions. The top ten included Sverdlovsk (121.3), Vologda (113.5), Leningrad (109), and Ryazan (106.4 thousand tons) regions, as well as the Republic of Bashkortostan (105.6 thousand tons). Additionally, over 100 thousand tons of milk were produced in the first two months of the current year in Novosibirsk (103 thousand tons) and Belgorod (100.8 thousand tons) regions. It was previously reported that 224 billion rubles are planned to be allocated for road repair work in Tatarstan. According to the estimate, the main investments will be directed to the M7 and R-239 highways. According to the Russian government's decree, more than 224 billion rubles are planned to be allocated from the federal budget for the construction and reconstruction of roads in the Republic of Tatarstan. The main volume of funds – over 183.8 billion rubles – is allocated for work on the M7 "Volga" highway.
