The government of Russia has decided to create a special economic zone (SEZ) of industrial-production type "Green Valley - 2" in the Nizhnekamsk district of Tatarstan. The document was published on the portal of regulatory legal acts projects, authored by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The new economic zone will become part of the emerging bioeconomy cluster "Green Valley". The cluster will also include the already existing SEZ "Green Valley", located in the Zainsk municipal district of the republic. The Tatarstan government plans to allocate at least 50.08 billion rubles for the development of the infrastructure of the new special economic zone by 2029. The funds will be directed towards the creation of engineering, transport, social, and other necessary infrastructure.

An agreement on the creation and management of the new special economic zone will be concluded between the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the government of Tatarstan, and the executive committee of the Nizhnekamsk district.
Let us remind you that the contribution of special economic zones to the regional economy is growing in Tatarstan. As of today, there are 2,119 residents operating in the preferential zones of the republic, which account for more than 20% of the region's industrial production.
