According to a study conducted by the "Otello" service from 2GIS, about 9 percent of respondents reported that they visited the capital of Tatarstan during their last unplanned trip. The results of the survey also showed that more than half of spontaneous travelers in Russia book accommodation while already on the trip. According to the company, 46 percent of surveyed Russians book their stay before departure, while 54 percent do so while on the road. Of these, 26 percent find accommodation en route, 16 percent look for the best place to stay once they arrive, and 11 percent do not book at all and just walk into the first hotel they find – with men opting for this option twice as often as women. The study revealed that among types of accommodation, spontaneous tourists most often prefer staying in apartments or serviced apartments (31 percent), small unstarred city hotels (22 percent), and guest houses or cottages (16 percent). Glamping is the least popular option among travelers on such trips (2 percent). It was previously reported that Tatarstan registered over 700 new trademarks in a year. By the end of 2025, 101 agreements on patent rights and 735 agreements on trademarks were registered in the Republic of Tatarstan.
