       Tatarstan is increasing its intellectual property: in 2025, 101 patent agreements and 735 trademark agreements were registered in the republic.

       According to the results of 2025, 101 contracts for patent rights and 735 contracts for trademarks were registered in the Republic of Tatarstan. As reported to journalists by the president of the Academy of Sciences of the republic, Rifkat Minnikhanov, the developed infrastructure for the protection of intellectual property creates a reliable foundation for the commercialization of developments by local scientists and entrepreneurs. A year earlier, in 2024, according to the press service of Rospatent, Tatarstan residents were granted 701 patents for inventions, which is 24 units (or 3.5 percent) more than in 2023. The majority – 644 patents (92 percent of the total) – were obtained by legal entities, and their number increased by 20 compared to the previous year. Individuals from Tatarstan registered 57 patents, which is four more than the previous year. In total, in 2024, 916 applications for inventions were submitted from the republic, which is 71 more than in 2023. About 88 percent of the applications were submitted by legal entities – a year earlier, their share was 90 percent. Recently, it was reported that the financial situation of enterprises in Tatarstan significantly worsened by the end of 2025. Based on data announced by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the republic, Oleg Pelevin, the total losses of companies increased by 3.9 times and exceeded 254 billion rubles. At the same time, total profit decreased by 0.8 percent, amounting to 1 trillion rubles.
