A bill on quotas for the employment of participants in the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been submitted to the State Council of Tatarstan.
In the event of the law being adopted, it will affect 875 employers. The Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan has submitted a bill on quotas for the employment of participants in the war with Ukraine to the republican parliament. The document is currently under preliminary review. If the law is adopted, the changes will come into effect on September 1 of this year, as specified by "Business Online". According to the bill, employers in Tatarstan with more than 200 employees are proposed to introduce a quota of 1% of the average number of employees. The explanatory note states that "the innovation will affect 875 employers operating in the territory of Tatarstan (according to Tatarstanstat)." Previously, the bill on quotas underwent anti-corruption expertise. At that time, the document also stated that for enterprises that do not fulfill their obligations regarding quotas in the event of the law being adopted, administrative liability would be provided. The newly published version of the bill on the State Council of Tatarstan's website does not mention administrative liability. Earlier, the head of the Tatarstan branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" fund, Guzel Udachina, reported that "as of early February," 75% of veterans of the Russian invasion of Ukraine are employed. She added that 545 employers in the republic are ready to provide four thousand jobs for participants in the war. Tatarstan ranks second in the country (after Bashkortostan) in the number of confirmed deaths in the war against Ukraine. According to calculations by "Idel.Realii," at least 8,188 natives of the republic have already died since February 24, 2022. Subscribe to our channel on Telegram.
