Farid Mukhametshin on the Victory Dictation: We must remember our Heroes
Today, an exhibition dedicated to the upcoming start of the International action "Victory Dictation" opened at the Great Patriotic War Memorial Museum of the Kazan Kremlin. This year, the Victory Dictation will take place for the eighth time and will be held on April 24 at more than five hundred venues across the republic. The Secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia," Honorary Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin welcomed the organizers and guests of the exhibition. "For several years now, the regional branch of 'United Russia' has been initiating events related to the memory of the Great Patriotic War. The Victory Dictation is a traditional action through which we pass down from generation to generation the memory of the heroic feats of our ancestors during the Great Patriotic War—people who, without sparing their lives, defended their homeland," emphasized Farid Mukhametshin. "About 700 thousand residents of our republic went to the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, and more than half did not return from the battlefields. By preserving their memory, we educate generations that will honorably carry on the legacy of the Victors, defending our Russian Federation and representing the Republic of Tatarstan. We must remember our Heroes." The Honorary Chairman of the State Council emphasized that the Victory was common to every nation in our multinational Russia. Only in Tatarstan, representatives of 175 nationalities live in peace and harmony, and the contribution of each of them is immense. According to Farid Mukhametshin, the action has a significant educational function, and the United Russia members of the republic will continue this important work on patriotic education for the youth, as well as seek new formats. The Secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia" thanked the organizers of the photo exhibition for the high level of organization of the event, its important educational mission, and contribution to preserving historical memory. On April 24, anyone wishing to test their knowledge of history can visit one of the organized venues or participate online at dictantpobedy.rf. Currently, more than 500 venues have been organized in Tatarstan, and registration is ongoing. Federal winners of the action will be awarded valuable prizes and will have the opportunity to become honorary guests of the Victory Parade on May 9 in Red Square, Moscow. The questions of the upcoming Dictation, in addition to key events of the Great Patriotic War, will be dedicated to anniversary dates, the Special Military Operation, and the theme of the unity of peoples. As noted by the General Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ayrat Faizrakhmanov, the National Museum and its branch—the Museum of the Great Patriotic War—have become one of the main venues for writing the Victory Dictation in Tatarstan for several years in a row. The Dictation is written by representatives of different nations and states, people of different ages, and this, according to Ayrat Faizrakhmanov, is very indicative, as the more people participate in this action, the more the world learns the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War. In addition, the National Museum acts as a project office and methodological center for the action for other local history museums in the republic. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the head of the regional executive committee of "United Russia," Marat Samigullin, the coordinator of the party project "Historical Memory" in Tatarstan, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Alsu Asadullina, the Chairman of the Public Council of the party project "Historical Memory" in Tatarstan, the head of the Great Patriotic War Memorial Museum 1941-1945, Alexander Alexandrov, the General Director of the National Museum of Tatarstan Ayrat Faizrakhmanov, and students of the Kazan Cadet School named after Hero of the Soviet Union B.K. Kuznetsov. "Today, posters are presented here showing how one of the most important actions of the party project 'Historical Memory'—the Victory Dictation—is being implemented. This year, the number of Dictation venues has increased; we want to attract as many people as possible to this topic. This is very important for us," noted the coordinator of the party project "Historical Memory" in Tatarstan, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Alsu Asadullina. "In Tatarstan, the Victory Dictation will be written in schools, libraries, and enterprises. There are closed venues that operate in a separate format. There are interesting venues, for example, KFU is opening two venues outside of Russia—in Uzbekistan and Egypt, where its branches are located. Our friends from completely different enterprises, who didn't even know about this, are also joining with great pleasure; interest has arisen this year as well. Therefore, we expect almost twice as many participants in the Dictation this year."
The international historical action "Victory Dictation" is being held across the country as part of the federal party project "Historical Memory," aimed at protecting the historical truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War and preserving cultural heritage monuments. Since the start of the Dictation in 2019, the number of participants and venues has increased tens of times. Every year, about 20 thousand residents of Tatarstan participate in the in-person format alone.
