Fraudsters continue to use psychological tricks to deceive citizens under the pretext of quick earnings, prizes, and solving everyday issues. Recently, there have also been increased cases where residents of Tatarstan receive virus files disguised as photos and videos with the question "Is this you?". In such cases, one needs to be especially vigilant.

      What to do if you opened a virus file? Albert Yakovlev recommends turning off internet access on your phone, switching the device to airplane mode, cleaning the phone with antivirus software, deleting applications, and changing passwords on your accounts.

      How to protect yourself from fraudsters:

      - Self-ban on loans. Citizens can completely or partially restrict the receipt of loans for themselves and their relatives. This measure helps protect against criminals who trick residents into taking out loans. Approximately 681,000 people have set a self-ban through State Services and more than 56,400 people through MFC.

      - Self-ban on issuing SIM cards. In Russia, no more than 20 SIM cards can be issued to one person. Users can set a self-ban, then telecom operators will not be able to issue a new SIM card without the personal participation of the subscriber.

      - Authorization on State Services through Max. Users can access the portal through the national messenger instead of confirming entry via SMS. This reduces the risk of fraudulent actions, and registration on State Services without your participation becomes impossible.

      - Call labeling. This tool allows for quick recognition of potential fraudsters and spam calls. The name of the company and the type of service are indicated next to the number.

      In the Max messenger, you can enable "Safe Mode" to receive calls only from people in your contact list and receive chat invitations only from those you have already communicated with. This mode also limits the appearance of your profile in searches for strangers.
