For such operations, he noted, teenagers are often involved, who, for a reward, take out loans and borrowings, hack accounts, and make purchases through installment payments. Attacks in messengers through viral links are also common. There are also cases where criminals pose as employees of law enforcement agencies, send fake documents, and claim that a criminal case has allegedly been initiated. "No investigative actions can be carried out over the phone; these actions can only be performed by police officers based on a warrant for conducting a search. If such calls are received, it is necessary to inform, first of all, your parents, and secondly, of course, the police," Yusupov noted.

      He reminded that to protect oneself, it is necessary to set up a self-ban on obtaining microloans and on obtaining SIM cards. It is also necessary to connect the "trusted contact" service and the "second hand" service in the bank, especially for children. Yusupov also reported that in the first three months of 2025, 55 criminal cases of dropperism (participation in illegal financial schemes) were initiated in Tatarstan, which will be considered in court this year. Teenagers are offered part-time jobs as couriers or cash collectors, transferring money into cryptocurrency with the possibility of keeping part of the amount. By completing such tasks, they become accomplices to crimes. Later, curators blackmail them, threatening to report the actions to the police or parents.
