The AI development program in Tatarstan has been approved until 2030.

      In Tatarstan, a program for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) until 2030 has been approved. The total funding for the five-year period is 5 billion rubles. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilya Nachvin, at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan. "As of today, the program has been approved and accepted. During this time, we have worked it out in detail," Nachvin confirmed to Tatar-inform. Recall that at the meeting of the Ministry of Digital Development of Tatarstan on January 25 of this year, Nachvin proposed to adopt the AI development program in the republic. The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, supported the initiative and instructed to adopt the program in the first quarter of 2026. Today at the briefing, Nachvin reported that the funding volume of the program is 1 billion rubles for each year of operation. Thus, for the five-year period until 2030, it will be 5 billion rubles. At the same time, the authorities expect that about 1.5-2 billion rubles will be returned to the budget of Tatarstan by 2030.
