      The plenary session of the international forum "Tugan Tel" took place today at "Korston." About 800 educators from various regions of Russia and foreign countries participated in the event. The Honorary Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, delivered a welcoming speech, thanking teachers who are engaged in the upbringing of the younger generation. He noted that in Tatarstan, where representatives of 175 nationalities live, the language, religion, and traditions are preserved, and celebrations such as Sabantuy continue to be held at a high level. According to him, the residents of the republic make a significant contribution to the preservation of multinational peace and culture. Mukhametshin also conveyed greetings from the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. In his address, he emphasized that in modern conditions, the upbringing of patriotism among the youth acquires special significance. Minnikhanov stressed that the contribution of teachers to instilling in children a love for their homeland, respect for history, and culture is hard to overestimate. Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the teacher of the native language plays a key role in preserving national identity, acting as an educator and the foundation of the future of the people. The education system is undergoing serious changes: new technologies, including artificial intelligence, are being implemented, and modern teaching methods are being developed. The President of Tatarstan expressed confidence that the forum would help develop the industry and provide students with quality education that meets the demands of the time. Farid Mukhametshin also provided a personal example, emphasizing that it is never too late to learn the native language. He shared that until the age of 45, he did not speak Tatar, as he grew up in a Russian-speaking environment. After being elected as a deputy in Kazan, his colleagues suggested conducting meetings in Tatar, which became a serious incentive for him to learn. According to him, the lack of vocabulary caused internal discomfort, so he began to study the language. He was assisted, in particular, by Razil Valeev and Tufan Minnullin, who advised him to read books aloud in front of a mirror. Mukhametshin noted that despite the bewilderment of those around him, he proudly spoke about his desire to learn his native language.
