In Tatarstan, more than 100 new houses will be built under the affordable housing program.

      In 2026, it is planned to construct 108 apartment buildings in Tatarstan with a total area of 150.6 thousand square meters. This will provide 3,123 Tatarstan families with new housing and fulfill one of the main tasks of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." This was reported by the press service of the State Housing Fund under the President of Tatarstan. As of today, 38.3% of the annual plan has been completed. Ten buildings with 1,119 apartments and a total area of 57.7 thousand square meters have been put into operation. Active construction is underway in the largest cities of the republic. In Kazan, the construction of five residential complexes with 774 apartments has been completed, and another five buildings with 1,528 apartments are under construction. In Naberezhnye Chelny, six buildings with 942 apartments are being constructed, and in Nizhnekamsk, two buildings with 170 apartments each. Houses are also being built in Agryz, Arsk, Mendeleevsk, Kukmor, Sarmanov, and other districts of Tatarstan. The social mortgage program, implemented by the State Housing Fund under the President of Tatarstan since 2005, remains unique for Russia. Over 21 years of operation, more than 8.5 million square meters of housing have been put into operation, improving housing conditions for over 138 thousand families. The social mortgage opens access to housing on favorable terms. Borrowers can obtain a loan at 7% per annum for a term of up to 28.5 years with a down payment starting from 10%. Apartments are handed over with fine finishing, and their cost is 30% lower than the market price. Additionally, families receive a compensation of 200 thousand rubles upon the birth of a child after registration.
