At the age of 83, the chairman of the Council of the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Center (TOKPC) of Tashkent, Rim Giniyatullin, passed away. The board and activists of the center expressed their deep condolences to his family and loved ones, noting that the loss is irreparable, as reported by the TOKPC Telegram channel. According to Rim Giniyatullin's last will, the janaza-namaz will be read at home. The funeral will take place at 16:00 at the Chapana cemetery in Chilanzar, in the 13th quarter. The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – the authorized representative of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation, Ravil Akhmetshin, will be present at the farewell from the leadership of Tatarstan. He was born on September 18, 1943, in the village of Karatepa in the Zaamin district of the Jizzakh region to a family of teachers. From 1968 to 1980, he held leadership positions in the system of the Ministry of Water Management of Uzbekistan, including serving as deputy head of the department and head of the main department. From 1981 to 1989, he worked as deputy minister of water management, deputy chairman of the State Planning Committee, and deputy chairman of the State Agro-Industrial Committee. From 1989 to 1996, he headed the Ministry of Melioration and Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and from 1996 to 1997, he served as deputy prime minister of the country. Since 1996, he has been the chairman of the Council of Elders of the Bashkir Public Cultural Center named after Akhmad Zaki Validi, and also headed the Council of Elders of the Tatar and Bashkir National Cultural Centers of Tashkent. In addition, he was the chairman of the Council of Elders of Tatars and Bashkirs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and an honorary member of the Interstate Coordinating Water Management Commission. Giniyatullin made a significant contribution to the development of the water management sector, the construction of hydraulic structures and pumping stations, as well as the development of the Hungry Steppe and Mirzachul. His merits were recognized with high awards: the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Orders of the Republic of Uzbekistan "Mehnat shuxrati" ("Labor Glory") and "Dustlik" ("Friendship"). He was also awarded the titles of "Honored Irrigator of the Republic of Uzbekistan," "Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan," "Honored Irrigator of the Republic of Karakalpakstan," and others.
