The algorithm for all actions necessary for extinguishing forest fires was practiced during planned fire-tactical exercises in the Zelenodolsk forestry. According to the training scenario, a fire broke out in a young pine forest. The first to detect it are mobile groups that patrol daily on ATVs. Upon their signal, workers from the forest fire station arrive at the scene. They first extinguish the fire using backpack extinguishers, and then supply water from fire hoses. Simultaneously, they conduct plowing and trenching with tractors. Within a few minutes, fire protection units arrive to assist the foresters. Conducting such fire-tactical exercises becomes especially relevant with the onset of dry weather. After all, the human factor is most often the cause of fires in forests. Employees of the Zelenodolsk fire-rescue garrison and forestry workers urge city residents to be extremely careful with fire in the forest. To ensure that your carelessness does not cause a forest fire, never set fire to dry grass in fields or clearings in the forest. Do not light a fire in a dry forest. Never throw unextinguished matches or cigarettes. If you notice a fire starting — for example, a small grass fire or smoldering forest litter at a campfire left by someone, try to extinguish it yourself. Sometimes it is enough just to stomp out the flames. If the fire is strong enough, and you cannot extinguish it on your own — try to leave the danger zone as quickly as possible.
