      The V anniversary international forum "Good Kazan" was opened today at the Moscow Cultural Center. "Inclusion as a new social norm: challenges and solutions," dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the city project of the same name and its supervising NGO. Among the participants of the event were the mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin, and the general director of the Presidential Grants Fund, Ilya Chukalin. "Like any road, it begins with the first step, and we initially moved cautiously, but then more confidently towards making 'Good Kazan' a part of the lives of all Kazan residents, so that children are raised from a young age with faith in goodness, and to put local manifestations of goodness on systematic rails," noted Metshin. Also among the participants were representatives of business structures and the parent community from five foreign countries (UAE, Turkey, Israel, Kazakhstan, Belarus) and 7 regions of Russia (Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Kirov, Volga region). The main theme of the event is declared to be inclusion in all its manifestations — from the education system, preschool, school, and post-school education, to assistance in employment and socialization of people with disabilities. "A huge thank you to the director of the Presidential Grants Fund, Ilya Vladimirovich Chukalin. Your help to our charitable organizations is invaluable. Over these years, Kazan funds have received grants totaling more than 1.1 billion rubles, which has allowed the organization of thousands of actions and projects," stated Metshin. It should be noted that "Good Kazan" is a city project implemented since 2016 on the initiative of Ilsur Metshin, as one of the 12 priorities of urban development in the capital of Tatarstan. Over the 10 years of its development, about 3.5 billion rubles have been directed to charity in Kazan. Today, more than 15,000 people actively participate in the project — volunteers, benefactors, NGO employees, and others.
