The Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, spoke about the interim results of the two-month period in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, spoke at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan with a report on the interim results of the sanitary-ecological two-month campaign, which has been taking place in Tatarstan since April 1. A total of 105,000 people have participated in the cleanup of streets, districts, and cities across the republic. The most active participants were the Almetyevsk, Aznakayevo, Vysokogorsk, Yelabuga, Laishevo, Yutazino districts, and the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. As part of the two-month campaign, more than 100,000 cubic meters of solid municipal waste have been taken to landfills, over 3,000 units of special equipment have been involved, and about 20,000 trees have been planted. Special attention is being paid to the condition of monuments, memorials, and obelisks in the lead-up to Victory Day. "Joint efforts by environmental agencies have identified 943 violations, of which 389 are unauthorized dumps, half of which have already been eliminated. Active work is underway to address issues related to the untimely removal of waste and improper maintenance of container sites in municipalities," noted Azat Ziganshin. Since the beginning of the year, the Republican Public Environmental Reception has received 934 complaints, 320 of which came during the two-month campaign. Special attention is being given to cleaning roadside strips, railway tracks, and water protection zones. During an aerial survey, 6 districts of the republic were inspected, and 36 violations were identified. The railway strips were also inspected. On April 23, together with Russian Railways, inspections were conducted in the Vysokogorsk and Zelenodolsk districts and the city of Kazan, revealing 58 violations. Together with the State Budgetary Institution "Road Traffic Safety," 25 districts were surveyed, and 61 instances of littering were identified. Contracting organizations of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of Tatarstan collected more than 3,000 cubic meters of waste from roadside strips. The Minister of Ecology also noted that Tatarstan has become the starting point for the All-Russian action "Water of Russia" as part of the national project "Ecological Well-Being." More than 26,000 people from 89 regions across the country participated in the cleanup of the shores. In conclusion, the Minister of Ecology thanked everyone who joined the two-month campaign: "We are doing one common cause and moving in all directions simultaneously—from eliminating dumps to cleaning the shores. This comprehensive approach forms a unified ecosystem of the republic, which will continue to function even after the two-month campaign ends. This is a significant effort by all of Tatarstan: every district, agency, and resident... 'Tamchy-tamchy tamgan sudan, Tirändingezlär bulır,' as our Tukay said. Just as a sea is born from drops of water, a clean Tatarstan begins with each of us."
