      The situation with garbage removal has been normalized in six out of seven western districts of Tatarstan where the corresponding problem arose. This was reported by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic, Azat Ziganshin, at a traditional meeting held by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, as reported by the press service of the regional leader. "In accordance with your instruction, Rustam Nurgalievich, regarding the issues of untimely removal of solid municipal waste and improper maintenance of container sites, I report. With the active participation of the Ministry of Construction and the State Housing Inspection, we are conducting weekly meetings to respond promptly to problems and residents' appeals <...>", the minister said. According to Azat Ziganshin, serious delays in garbage removal were observed in seven districts of the western zone of Tatarstan. These municipalities were listed on a slide – they included Apastovsky, Buinsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsky, Pestrechinsky, and Tetyushsky districts. "Difficulties arose due to the change of the waste transportation operator by the management company 'PZhKH'. At the request of the headquarters, the regional operator changed the routes of garbage trucks and increased the number of special vehicles in the most problematic areas," the speaker explained. Recently, LLC "Management Company 'PZhKH'" has removed 664 thousand cubic meters of garbage. A total of 175 units of special equipment and 450 drivers and loaders are involved daily, as indicated on the slide. As a result, according to the minister, the situation with garbage removal has now normalized in all districts except for Vysokogorsky, where "waste, especially bulky waste, is still not being removed in full volume." The established weekly headquarters with the participation of supervisory authorities will operate until all violations are fully eliminated. The issues of recalculating consumer payments for the period when the garbage removal service was not provided remain under the control of the State Housing Inspection of Tatarstan, he assured. Azat Ziganshin specifically addressed potential problems that should be prevented in advance. He urged special attention to be paid to gardening associations and cemeteries, as residents of Tatarstan are tidying up their summer cottages and cleaning graves. "It is necessary to ensure that the removal from cemeteries is organized properly and waste does not accumulate. I ask the heads of municipalities to ensure regular and timely waste removal in advance, and where there are not enough containers, to install additional ones," concluded the Minister of Ecology of Tatarstan.
