      Based on the materials of the inspection by the Zelenodolsk city prosecutor's office, criminal proceedings have been initiated by the preliminary investigation authorities under part 1 of article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud in obtaining benefits). During the inspection, it was revealed that on July 21, 2025, a local resident, after giving birth to a child at the State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "Zelenodolsk Central District Hospital," left the medical facility, abandoning the infant. A week later, she applied to the Civil Registry Office of the Executive Committee of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan, where she was issued a birth certificate for the child. After that, the woman submitted an application to the branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan to receive a monthly childcare allowance. Thus, from June 13 to October 13, 2025, the woman fraudulently received a monthly childcare allowance totaling 40,415 rubles. The progress of the preliminary investigation is under the control of the city prosecutor's office.
