This year, participants could also apply in the nominations "Leader Mentor," "My Mentor," "Mentor in Service," and "Be an Example." "The upbringing of a harmoniously developed, patriotic, and socially responsible individual is a priority task that we face within the framework of the national project 'Youth and Children.' The All-Russian Mentor Competition 'To Be, Not to Seem,' which is being held for the third time at the request of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, helps achieve this goal. More and more people want to share their experience. This season, a record 80,000 applications have been submitted by mentors. The average age of the participants is 30 years, with a third of them being young people under 18," said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko. Head of Rosmolodyozh Grigory Gurov noted that thanks to the all-Russian project, mentors can join a professional community and enter the personnel reserve.
Experts are currently selecting candidates, with results to be announced in May. In-person roundtable interviews and thematic assignments await the semi-finalists in the summer. From June 7 to 13, the first semi-final for the Volga and Ural Federal Districts will take place in Tyumen, while the final stage of the all-Russian competition will be held in the fall.
