Currently, only four special air corridors remain over the Emirates. Today it became known that the UAE's air defense systems are repelling a missile attack. Later, the authorities of Fujairah reported a large fire at an oil industry facility. Media reported that the cause was an attack by an Iranian drone. The Fars agency, citing local sources, reported that as a result of the attacks, American facilities in the port of Dubai were damaged.

      Recall that the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of the UAE announced on May 2 the complete opening of the airspace and the cancellation of previously imposed restrictions. On April 20, Rosaviatsia lifted restrictions on flights to the UAE and through Iranian airspace. Two days prior, Iran partially opened its skies to civil aviation. Additionally, Russian airlines are allowed to operate flights to airports in Israel from April 16 to May 15 from 07:00 to 01:00.

      Last week, the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), Maya Lomidze, reported that the resumption of air communication between Russia and the UAE has caused a boom in demand among Russians for trips. In addition, discounts on hotel stays in the UAE have influenced demand. At the same time, Lomidze noted that in the event of an escalation in the Middle East, Russians would have to think of a way to return home themselves.
