All of them violated parking rules. The seized devices were sent to a special parking lot; operators will only be able to retrieve them after paying fines. As reported by the chairman of the transport committee, Alexey Sidorov, the city continues systematic work to regulate kicksharing. Currently, over 1,400 parking zones have been approved in Kazan. "In 2025, we eliminated almost 500 parking spaces, which had a positive effect – the number of traffic accidents involving scooters significantly decreased. Moreover, the city center is completely closed to IMD parking, and there are traffic restrictions in 130 zones," explained the head of the committee. According to Alexey Sidorov, kicksharing operators often ignore the requirements prohibiting the placement of scooters in parks, squares, and the central part of the city with narrow sidewalks. "Unfortunately, not all kicksharing operators heed our requests – we have repeatedly asked to remove scooters from parks, squares, and the central part of the city, where the sidewalks are too narrow and pose a danger to pedestrians. Unfortunately, for unclear reasons, IMD continue to appear in prohibited areas, so the decision was made to conduct evacuations," said Alexey Sidorov. The kicksharing season in the capital of Tatarstan opened on April 14. The total number of IMD in the city has decreased by almost 30% – to 5,200 units (for comparison: last year there were 7,300). In the near future, the list of permitted locations will be further reduced. Parking on the embankment of Lake Kaban, in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, in the "Komsomolets," Uritsky, "Pine Grove" parks, on the "Ak Chachaklar" boulevard, and in the Victory Park will be excluded from the placement scheme. Parking near several advertising structures will also be eliminated.

      Recall that additional rules for IMD are in effect in Kazan. For instance, the speed of electric scooters must not exceed 20 km/h, and in speed-restricted zones, of which there are 401 in the city, no more than 10-15 km/h. Pedestrian streets Bauman, Petersburg, and Kayum Nasiri are closed to traffic and parking.

      According to the Kazan Traffic Police, in the first four months of this year, there were four traffic accidents involving IMD, two of which resulted in injuries. In the same period last year, there were eight traffic accidents in the city, and a total of 17 for the entire year.
