In Zainsk, decorative apple trees were planted on Victory Boulevard for May 9th.
On May 5, 2026, a large-scale greening event took place in Zainsk on Victory Boulevard, where decorative apple trees were planted. The new trees are a continuation of the improvement of the public space, which is gradually becoming one of the main attractions for the city's residents. It is worth noting that last autumn, blue spruces were planted on the boulevard. In spring, the work continued: in honor of the upcoming Victory Day, the area was decorated with decorative apple trees that will resemble Japanese sakura during their blooming period. Previously, apple trees planted decades ago grew in this spot. Over time, the trees completely exhausted their resources and were carefully removed. Now, they have been replaced by new saplings. This event holds special significance for the city's long-time residents. One of the participants in the planting, Minirifkat Shaimardalovich Shavaliev, took part in the planting of the first apple trees in 1975 — in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Great Victory. "I am very glad that I lived to see this day. In 1975, we laid out this park and participated in its creation. Fifty years have passed, and the trees served even longer than their term. Today we are planting apple trees again — this is very important," he shared. The head of the Zainsk district, Razif Galievich Karimov, also participated in the event. He noted that Victory Boulevard has significantly transformed in recent years and has become an important memorial space. Here, monuments, busts of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Socialist Labor, as well as an exhibition of demilitarized military equipment transferred by the Ministry of Defense, have been installed. Among the exhibits are a T-80 tank, an armored personnel carrier, and other samples of equipment. The area is equipped with modern elements, including QR codes that provide additional information. "Last year we planted 80 blue spruces for the 80th anniversary of Victory. This year — 81 decorative apple trees. This is symbolic and important for preserving memory," emphasized Razif Karimov. "In the future, a full-fledged memorial complex dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland will appear here." The event was attended by the youth army from school No. 1, the head of the district executive committee Emil Galeev, representatives of the United Russia party, the deputy head of the city Sergey Maximov, the military commissioner of the Zainsk district Dinar Khasanov, veterans of the special military operation Georgy Borisov and Evgeny Ilyin, employees of the "Gorzelenkhoz," and many concerned residents of Zainsk.
It is expected that in the coming years, Victory Boulevard will become an even cozier and more beautiful place for walks, and in spring it will delight the townspeople with the bright blooming of new apple trees.
