TASS: The mayor of Ufa has had his preventive measure changed to house arrest.
The Supreme Court of Bashkortostan has changed the measure of restraint for the mayor of Ufa, Ratmir Mavliev — he has been placed under house arrest for two months. This was reported by TASS, citing law enforcement agencies. Recall that Mavliev was detained on April 28 on suspicion of official and corruption crimes. Along with him, the deputy head of the land and property relations department, Rushat Fazliahmetov, and the director of the Ufa sanatorium "Raduga," Alexey Silin, are also involved in this case. Witnesses include the deputy head of the administration, Agaragim Kagirgadzhiev, and the general director of LLC "ERKC Ufa," Aigul Vinnikova. The head of the administration is suspected of exceeding official powers (part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and receiving a bribe in especially large amounts (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The deputy head of the administration, the deputy head of the department, and the director of the sanatorium are only suspected of exceeding official powers. On April 30, "BUSINESS Online" reported that Mavliev was placed in custody in a pre-trial detention center for a period of 2 months and 13 days — until July 11. This decision was made by the Soviet District Court of the city. The investigation insisted on detention in a pre-trial detention center.
In court, the mayor stated that he is cooperating with the investigation and considers the case against him to be completely fabricated. Mavliev also emphasized that all his property was acquired with his own money. The day before, the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, commented on the criminal case against the mayor. He positively assessed the results of the mayor's work and noted that under him, the city "has blossomed." "You know my position, until procedural decisions are made by the court, the head of the city is Ratmir Rafailovich," added the head of the republic.
