       The court in Almetyevsk has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a thirty-two-year-old local resident who initiated an armed conflict with gunfire in one of the residential yards of the city at the end of April.

       According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of Tatarstan, the defendant has been charged under part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which qualifies his actions as hooliganism committed with the use of weapons. The term of detention has been set until June 26, 2026, during which time the accused will remain in a pre-trial detention center while law enforcement agencies complete the investigation of the incident. The supervisory authority emphasized that the progress of the investigation is under constant control of the city prosecutor's office of Almetyevsk. According to the investigation, on the evening of April 26 of this year, the accused, while in the yard of one of the apartment buildings on Cherynishevsky Street, during a suddenly arisen conflict with a group of citizens, took out a traumatic pistol he had, which is classified as a weapon of limited damage, and fired several aimed shots at one of his opponents. Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan clarified to the TASS agency that the report of the incident was received by the police duty unit on April 26. Arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers established that the conflict had erupted between several people in the yard of the house, and as a result, one of the participants in the scuffle used a weapon. As a result of the shooting, one person sustained bodily injuries of varying severity; however, after receiving necessary medical assistance at the trauma point, he was released home, and hospitalization was not required. It was previously reported that in Tatarstan, utility workers will be tried for the death of two children in wells.
