Victory Parade in Verkhny Uslon: tears, songs, and white doves

      Verkhny Uslon celebrated the 81st spring of Victory. For the second year in a row, the main rally of the district gathers people in the Heroes' Park. They come here with flowers, with portraits of their grandfathers, and with eyes full of tears. Correspondents captured the most touching moments of the celebration: from laying wreaths to white doves flying into the May sky.

      On this page, there are not just photographs. This is the story of one day when Verkhny Uslon paused to remember. And to cry. And to stand tall with pride. The first shots turned out to be strict and solemn. Even before the official part began, a delegation led by the head of the municipality, Yevgeny Varakin, headed to the Eternal Flame. Next to him was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Roman Shaikhutdinov, and other officials. Flowers were laid on the granite. A little later, a similar ceremony took place in the Square of Rear Workers.

      The shots from the stage were particularly bright. Cultural workers staged a true confession. Pride for the country, the unquenchable pain of loss, and the bright delight of that very year of 1945 intertwined in songs and dances.

      But the warmest photos were with children. It was they who took center stage that day. Boys and girls in tunics and white bows sang in such a way that chills ran down the spines of adults. It seems that history itself showed: these kids will carry the banner of memory forward. And they will manage.

      Speakers changed one another on the podium. Yevgeny Varakin found warm words for each veteran.

      Roman Shaikhutdinov read a greeting from the President of Tatarstan.

      Military commissar Rashit Faskhutdinov, special military operation participant Maxim Lyadov, and Veterans Council Chairwoman Rimma Troitskaya took to the microphone.

      In each speech, there was pride for Victory, pain for today's heroes, and a stern admonition to the youth: cherish history, do not let anyone rewrite it.

      And then the square fell silent. The minute of silence in the photo turned out to be especially expressive.

      In the pictures, you can see how the wind rustles the flags, while people stand with their heads bowed. At that moment, you can hear the heartbeat of the district. And how silence cuts through the air.

      The most emotional shots were from the "Immortal Regiment" dance. Children twirled in a circle, each holding the hand of their hero. Not an abstract soldier from a textbook, but their own: grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle.

      And then balloons and white doves soared into the sky. Pure. Swift. Like hope itself.

      On this day, Verkhny Uslon proved: the people remember. The people honor. And no attempts to distort history or push the role of the Soviet liberator soldier into the background will succeed here.
