Inna Danilova reports on how KazanForum has started. The seventeenth International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" has begun. The briefing at the Government House with the participation of foreign journalists is proof of this. The central topics of discussion include international cooperation, economy, Islamic finance and investments, education, medicine, IT technologies, halal industry, culinary arts, tourism, and of course, the traditional "female perspective." Special attention is given to the construction sector, with a specialized exhibition and a separate plenary session dedicated to it. The key plenary session of KazanForum will take place on May 15. There is also great interest in the events of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World," led by its chairman, the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. This year, the organization is celebrating its 20th anniversary. "Over these years, a stable network of contacts has been established, uniting representatives of government bodies, the diplomatic corps, business circles, religious and public organizations, as well as the scientific and expert community. The Republic of Tatarstan plays an important role in the group, serving as a natural platform for cultural and interreligious dialogue," noted Marat Gatin, assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and deputy chairman of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World." The congress of culture ministers from Islamic cooperation countries, the session of the general conference of ISESCO, the forum of young diplomats, and the media forum, as well as a fashion show and traditional "Izge Bulgar Zhyeny," as well as horse racing and a sports program, also attract unwavering interest. For the first time, the capital of Tatarstan is hosting KazanForum as the cultural capital of the Islamic world. For the first time, such a large number of participating countries is expected—over 100—and registration is ongoing. For the first time, intergovernmental commission meetings will be held at the forum. And to help guests and participants navigate the KazanForum venue and its extensive program, artificial intelligence will be utilized.
