The Club of Young Voters has opened at KGMU.

      The Young Voters Club has opened at KSMU. The project was organized by the Youth Council under the Central Election Commission of Tatarstan and the student body of KSMU. Its goal is to develop legal culture among young people, reports the press service of the CEC of RT. The opening of the club took place on May 14 – on the birthday of Kazan Medical University, and shortly before the start of the federal election campaign for the State Duma deputies. Acting rector of KSMU Ayrat Farakhov, speaking to students, noted that the university has long cooperated with the Central Election Commission of Tatarstan. According to him, he and the chairman of the CEC of the republic, Andrey Kondratiev, share a long-standing friendship, a common Alma mater, and joint work related to fostering citizenship and patriotism. Farakhov emphasized that for the university, the Young Voters Club is not just a new student project, but part of a larger effort to form an active and responsible youth in Tatarstan, ready to participate in the development of the republic and the country. The chairman of the CEC of Tatarstan, Andrey Kondratiev, in turn, stated that student participation in the club's activities will help future doctors develop leadership qualities necessary not only for medical professionals but also for healthcare organizers. He noted that regardless of their professional path, the knowledge and skills gained in the club will remain an important life experience and help learn to work in a team, make decisions, and take responsibility. Kondratiev also reported that during election campaigns, more than 30 temporary polling stations will operate in medical institutions in Tatarstan for citizens undergoing treatment or temporarily residing there. According to him, the elections for State Duma deputies will give students the opportunity to gain practical experience as volunteers, observers, and participants in informational work. He added that it is especially important to start such activities in the student environment. During the opening of the Young Voters Club, students presented the election programs of candidates for the position of the association's chairman. The election of the club's leader will take place at its first plenary session.
