The tragedy occurred at the 1077th kilometer of the stretch between the stations of Agryz and Urom. According to the press service of the Gorky Railway, the driver of the two-wheeled vehicle entered the tracks just before train No. 25, which was traveling from Izhevsk to Moscow. The engineer applied emergency braking, but due to the critically short distance, a collision could not be avoided. The motorcyclist died at the scene from the injuries sustained. The train continued on with a delay of 17 minutes. In mid-April, the acting head of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Tatarstan, Ayrat Samigullin, provided statistics: since the beginning of 2026, 11 accidents involving motorcycles have been recorded in the republic, resulting in one death and ten injuries. In the same period the previous year, there were 22 such accidents, but no fatalities occurred.
