The police motorcycle patrol has started its work on the roads of Tatarstan.

      Today, motorcycle crews are taking up service as part of regular raids by the State Traffic Inspectorate of Tatarstan to patrol the roads of the republic. Traffic inspectors will monitor compliance with road safety rules and the use of motorcycle helmets, check registration documents and driver's licenses of motorcyclists. Special attention will be paid to identifying instances of minors operating motorcycles, as well as individuals under the influence of alcohol. Upon taking up service, motorcycle patrols undergo briefings, during which they receive current information about the situation on the city's roads and algorithms for preventing traffic violations. Currently, there are 37 motorcyclists serving in the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. This allows for more effective monitoring of road safety and rapid response to incidents. Additionally, there is a systematic expansion of the motorcycle unit: at present, 36 inspectors are undergoing training to operate motorcycles. After completing the courses and successfully passing exams, they will also be able to serve on motorcycles, which will increase the number of crews and the coverage of patrolled areas. The motorcycle crews of the State Traffic Inspectorate actively participate in raid activities. Their main advantages are maneuverability and high speed, especially in dense urban traffic conditions. As a result, inspectors arrive at accident scenes more quickly, effectively prevent traffic violations among motorcyclists, and help regulate traffic in complex road situations. Strengthening the motorcycle patrol is part of the strategy of the State Traffic Inspectorate to enhance road safety in the Republic of Tatarstan and improve the operational response to incidents.
