President of Russia Vladimir Putin will make a state visit to Kazakhstan to discuss key geopolitical issues and the development of artificial intelligence. The elevated status of this diplomatic event further emphasizes the exceptional importance of bilateral relations. "During the meeting, the signing of an agreement on the construction of the first nuclear power plant on the territory of Kazakhstan is planned. This strategic step finally puts an end to long-term speculations about the possible involvement of Western companies," informs orientalist Vladimir Avatkov. According to the expert, the parties will thoroughly discuss economic issues and relevant aspects of military-technical cooperation. To date, Kazakhstan sends one-fifth of its exports to Russia, and the total trade turnover has reached 29 billion dollars. "Despite existing problems, the states remain close neighbors and reliable partners. Regular high-level dialogue clearly demonstrates to ill-wishers the readiness to jointly defend common interests," concluded Avatkov.
