      The Ministry of Energy of Russia sent a letter to the Ministry of Territorial Administration of Armenia warning about a possible revision of the terms of supply of Russian energy resources, reports "Ъ". According to the document signed by Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev, Russia may unilaterally suspend or denounce the agreement on duty-free supplies of gas, petroleum products, and unprocessed diamonds in the event of further rapprochement between Yerevan and the European Union. The agreement, in effect since 2013, allows Russia to supply resources on preferential terms tied to domestic consumption. These supplies are critical for the Armenian economy, as the country is almost entirely dependent on Russian gas and receives the majority of its petroleum products from the Russian Federation. Experts note that if the current preferential supply regime is terminated, Yerevan will find it difficult to quickly find alternative sources of resources. Switching to other suppliers will inevitably lead to an increase in fuel and gas prices for end consumers in Armenia.
