      More than a thousand people gathered to share the festive prayer together. The clock had not yet struck 4 AM, but the mosque was already nearly full. This dawn was met by devout Muslims in anticipation of the start of the main sacred holiday – "Kurban Bayram," which is celebrated on the 70th day after the fast of Uraza. On this day, ritual sacrifices are performed. Traditionally, in the central mosque, the chief imam-muhtasib of the Almetyevsk district, Ismail Hazrat Singatullin, delivered a sermon and reminded everyone of the history of the holiday, which tells of a prophet whose faith was tested by the Almighty. More than a thousand people gathered to share the festive prayer together. After the prayer, most headed to the Extreme Park, where the sacrificial ritual was conducted from five in the morning. More than 1,400 heads of small cattle were brought exclusively from Tatarstan for this purpose. "The supply this year is as usual: the Aktanysh district, as every year, supplies, the Sarman district, the Leninogorsk district, the Cheremshan district, the Zainsk and Aznakayevo districts, and, accordingly, the Almetyevsk district – a large quantity," said the chief veterinary doctor, head of the GBU "Almetyevsk RGVV" Reval Mukhametzyanov. Each supplier underwent a thorough inspection and received approval only after completing all necessary procedures. "Each head is accompanied by veterinary documents. And each vehicle is treated with a disinfectant solution upon entry and exit to prevent the introduction of infections from any regions," said the chief veterinary doctor. Veterinarians checked the meat immediately after slaughter. There was a tent on the site where a sanitary expert examined the product for quality. "Firstly, for changes in internal organs, for any hardening, whether there are any changes. That is, this is normal," explained the veterinarian of the Almetyevsk "Veterinary Association" Ildar Shaidullin. According to Islamic law, the meat of the sacrificial animal must be divided into three parts: one is kept for the family, the second is given to friends or neighbors, and the third goes to those in need. In the tent, meat could be left for the madrasah, where it was inspected and immediately placed in a refrigeration unit.

      Kurban Bayram has been celebrated for over a thousand years and lasts for three days. For many residents of Almetyevsk, this is a time when good deeds are accomplished. In addition to the main holiday, workshops, games, and interactive activities were organized for children in the colonnade of the mosque, along with a Quran reading competition.
