Nurlat veterans of the SVO won a volleyball match as part of the Raisa of Tatarstan Cup.

      The rivals of our fellow countrymen were two strong teams — from Almetyevsk and Kazan. Last weekend, the Nurlat team of veterans of the special military operation held a series of friendly matches. In a tense game against the veterans of the capital, the Nurlat team managed to secure a confident victory. This match was part of the preparation for participation in major republican competitions. Additionally, it should be noted that last week in Zelenodolsk, the II Rais Cup of the Republic of Tatarstan among participants of the special military operation was launched. The republican-scale competitions gathered veterans of combat operations, including those who suffered serious injuries and have disabilities. The competitions are being held for the second time with the support of the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. The competitions are taking place in several zonal stages — in Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk, Nizhnekamsk, Kazan, and other districts. The Cup program includes 18 sports, including swimming, hockey, shooting, sitting volleyball, powerlifting, arm wrestling, knife throwing, chess, backgammon, mini-football, kettlebell sport, fidgetal disciplines, and other disciplines. Throughout the year, participants will be able to showcase their skills in various areas. The tournament final is scheduled for October, where winners will receive cash prizes. For participants wishing to continue sports professionally, the organizers will provide complete information about the sections. All sports complexes in the republic are open to veterans of the special military operation on a free or discounted basis.

      The Nurlat team intends to participate in the next stages of the competition and compete for the main trophy of the cup.
