The Prosecutor's Office of Kazan has approved the indictment in the criminal case against a 62-year-old resident of the Sabinsky district. He is accused under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules resulting in serious harm to health due to negligence). According to the investigation, on September 18, 2025, at about 12:50, the accused, driving a VOLVO car, was moving along Technical Street in Kazan. Approaching an uncontrolled pedestrian crossing near house No. 5b, he had a real opportunity to detect the danger in advance but violated traffic rules. As a result, the driver ran over a family crossing the roadway: a woman born in 2003, who was carrying her one-year-old daughter in her arms and holding the hand of a minor child. All three victims suffered serious injuries. The criminal case has been sent to the Privolzhsky District Court of Kazan for consideration on the merits.
