      American rapper Kanye West has set a new attendance record for stadium concerts. His performance at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul gathered about 118,000 spectators. This was reported by Reuters. "We broke the record for the most attended stadium performance of all time!" the rapper declared to the audience during the concert. Previously, the record belonged to the British band Coldplay. In January 2025, the group performed in front of 111,000 spectators at the stadium of the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad, India. West's concert was attended by approximately 7,000 more people.

      It is worth noting that several countries denied the musician the opportunity to hold concerts due to his controversial reputation. This includes the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, France, and Switzerland. In April, it was also announced that West's concert in Marseille was canceled amid criticism of his antisemitic remarks.

      Recall that in March 2025, a concert by Kanye West was supposed to take place in Russia. The American rapper's performance was canceled due to his Nazi remarks, the organizers reported. This information was confirmed by the head of the PMI agency, Yevgeny Finkelstein, whose company was negotiating with the artist's team. The organizers planned to hold at least two meetings to agree on dates, prices, and conditions for the performance. After West's publication with antisemitic comments, the Russian side refused to cooperate.
