      In Tatarstan, participants of the special military operation and their family members were refunded 750 million rubles from the republican budget, which they paid for transport tax. This was reported today by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Faizrakhmanov, at a meeting of the budget committee in the State Council of Tatarstan. — With a planned target for transport tax of 7.8 billion rubles, 7.725 billion rubles were actually credited. The reason for the non-fulfillment of the annual plan is a recalculation in December 2025, when amendments were made to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation to exempt veterans, participants of the special military operation, and their family members from paying transport tax, — he said. As a result, they were refunded 750 million rubles.

      The federal benefit for the "zeroing" of transport tax for participants of the special military operation and their family members was introduced in November 2025. The benefit is established by federal law No. 425-FZ and applies to the period from 2022. Participants of the special military operation are exempt from payment in the amount of 100% regardless of engine power. Accordingly, the benefit also applies to snowmobiles, motor sleds, and motor boats with engine power up to 50 horsepower, as stated on the website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation. However, it is provided only for the period of participation in the special military operation. To obtain an indefinite benefit on the property of individuals, it is necessary to acquire the privileged status of a combat veteran.
