      A criminal case has been initiated. In Tatarstan, an unusual fraud scheme has been uncovered, with residents of Almetyevsk falling victim. Under pressure from the scammers, a girl let strangers into her grandfather's house, who took away jewelry, collectible coins, awards, and watches worth over 70 million rubles in total. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the police, the fraudsters acted according to a familiar scheme: they first convinced the girl and two young men from Korolev and Syzran to provide codes from SMS messages under the pretext of scheduling a health check-up and medical commission. Then, posing as government officials, they informed them about allegedly hacked accounts and the transfer of money to banned organizations. Under the threat of criminal prosecution for financing terrorism, the young people were persuaded to become "contract employees of the FSB" and conduct a "search" in the house in Almetyevsk. The girl was made to believe that her relatives' savings were in danger. Following the scammers' instructions, the young men traveled to Almetyevsk, bought an angle grinder, and broke into the house, where the girl herself showed them the safes. The scammers controlled everything happening via video connection. Afterward, they thanked them for their work and instructed them to hand over a bag to a fake FSB employee and stay overnight in the house. The police were called by a friend of the homeowner who noticed the strangers and reported them. Arriving officers explained to the young men that they had become participants in a criminal scheme. Later, it turned out that the scammers had tried to force the girl to transfer another 1 million rubles to them, but circumstances prevented this, and then her relatives informed her about the fraud. The young men were taken to the police station and confessed.
