Pushkin Hour "He is our poet, he is our glory!": Pushkin Day in Russia celebrated at the Central Library

      Every year on June 6, our country celebrates Pushkin Day in Russia, which is also known as the Day of the Russian Language. The works of the great poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin accompany Russians from early childhood and throughout their lives. His works unite people of different ages, faiths, and nationalities, and have been translated into dozens of languages around the world. Children become acquainted with Pushkin's fairy tales even before they learn to read. In anticipation of this significant date, on June 5, a Pushkin Hour titled "He is our poet, he is our glory!" took place at the Central Library. Young readers were told about Alexander Sergeyevich's childhood, his family, and, of course, about the wonderful nanny Arina Rodionovna, who knew many Russian folk songs and fairy tales and instilled in the future poet a love for his native language. A book exhibition was organized for the children, showcasing various editions of Pushkin's works: fairy tales, poems, prose, as well as illustrated collections. Then the kids participated in a quiz titled "There, on unknown paths." With great enthusiasm, they recalled their favorite episodes from Pushkin's fairy tales, solved thematic crosswords, and guessed the titles of works based on illustrations. The Pushkin Hour concluded with active games that not only lifted spirits but also helped children develop physical activity and team spirit. The event took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere and left participants with vivid impressions of getting to know the works of the great Russian poet.
