       In Tatarstan, during the past week, from May 26 to June 1, a rise in retail prices for all types of automotive fuel was again recorded, with the most significant jump in price observed for diesel fuel.

       According to the operational data released on Wednesday by the Federal State Statistics Service, as of the reporting date, the most expensive type of fuel at gas stations in the republic remained high-octane gasoline AI-98, which increased by 19 kopecks over the week, reaching an average price of 91 rubles 16 kopecks per liter. Following it in the price ranking was gasoline AI-95, which rose by 15 kopecks to 66 rubles 38 kopecks, while the most affordable AI-92 increased in price by 14 kopecks, reaching 62 rubles 57 kopecks per liter. The most noticeable and sensitive increase for the wallets of truck drivers and farmers was recorded in the diesel fuel segment. Over the reporting week, its average cost at gas stations in the republic soared by 96 kopecks, rising from 73 rubles 63 kopecks to 74 rubles 59 kopecks per liter. Overall, across Russia, since the beginning of the current year 2026, gasoline has already become 4.77 percent more expensive, according to Rosstat, which significantly exceeds the level of overall inflation recorded during the same period at 3.37 percent. According to the published data from the Russian agency, the average cost of a conditional liter of gasoline in Tatarstan during the reporting period increased from 64 rubles 72 kopecks to 64 rubles 86 kopecks. It was previously reported that in the Republic of Tatarstan in recent years, among all existing formats of domestic tourism, the most impressive growth rates are demonstrated by auto tourism, which has become a real trend for the residents of the region and guests.
