The venue for the championship will be the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. The number of competitors has nearly doubled: from about 400 in 2025 to more than 700 in the current year, 2026. The event aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation for participants of the special operation who have become disabled and to assist veterans in career guidance and acquiring new specialties that allow them to successfully find employment in the open labor market or realize themselves as entrepreneurs or self-employed individuals.

      The championship was first held from July 25 to 29, 2025, in Kazan. After that, 79 finalists participated in the final of the National "Abilympics" championship in Moscow. At that time, Tatarstan ranked in the top 5 regions by the number of finalists. Participants competed in 15 competencies, with the most popular being: "Drone Operator," "Welding Technologies," and "Automobile Repair and Maintenance."

      The organizers of the championship are the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the State Fund "Defenders of the Fatherland," and the Government of Tatarstan. The regional operator is the Center for the Development of Professional Competencies of Tatarstan.

      The opening ceremony is scheduled for June 26 and will take place in the Ilgam Shakirov Concert Hall at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center.

      The championship will cover 21 main competencies that reflect 11 sectors of the economy. The competitions will take place over four days, from June 27 to 30.

      Among the main competencies are "Instructor in Adaptive Physical Culture," "Plumber of Sanitary and Technical Systems," "First Aid Instructor," "Entrepreneurship," "Performing Arts (Vocals)," "Painting," "Massage Therapist," "Pizza Maker," "Drone Operator," "Culinary Arts," "Driver," "Development and Assembly of Drones," "Automobile Repair and Maintenance," "Assembly and Disassembly of Electronic Equipment," "Welding Technologies," "Network and System Administration," "Metalworking," "Prosthetics Technician," "Electrical Installation," "Operation of Agricultural Machinery," and "Furniture Maker."

      At the championship venue, seven demonstration competencies will be available for all interested parties to get acquainted with new professions that are in demand in the labor market. These include "Industrial Robotics," "Specialist in Ground Robotic Systems," "Operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems," "Barista," "Installer of Radio Electronic Equipment," "Architect of the Future – Neural Network Art," and "Artist – Designer."

      As part of the event, competitive, business, cultural, sports, and exhibition programs are planned. The closing ceremony and award presentation for the winners will take place on July 1, 2026, in the same hall as the opening ceremony.
