Students of Tatarstan: Kamchatka, Egypt, and the construction sites of "Alabuga"

      From the conveyor belt of "KAMAZ" and the construction sites of the SEZ "Alabuga" to the fish processing plants of Kamchatka and the nuclear power plant "El-Dabaa" in Egypt — a large-scale start to the third semester of student work teams will be given on June 12 at the Kazan Kremlin.

      On June 12, at the walls of the Kazan mosque "Kul-Sharif," the all-Russian opening of the third labor semester of student teams will take place. On Russia Day, more than a thousand participants from Tatarstan and guests from other regions will gather in the Kremlin. The key event will be the handing out of vouchers to the teams — symbolic permits to work.

      For many young people, this day will mark their entry into the profession. Among them is fourth-year student Victoria Timergalina from KGEU. "I prepared for several months and completed training. My first labor semester will begin with assembling the legendary KAMAZ trucks. This is not just a part-time job, but an understanding of the workings of real production," says the future materials engineer.

      The fourth season at the "edge of the world"

      Vladislav Ivanov, a student at KNIITU, at just 19 years old already has an impressive track record. His first experience was in 2023 in Kamchatka. "It was a bit scary to go to the edge of the world. But I earned 150,000 rubles and bought a new smartphone. Now I'm going for the fourth time, but this time as a project manager," says Vladislav. This season, more than 500 students from Tatarstan will be involved in fish processing enterprises on the peninsula.

      Summer figure: 15,000 people

      According to the Republican Center for Student Teams, in 2026, 15,000 young people will participate in the movement. By the beginning of summer, 4,000 people are already employed. The peak load will occur in July-August, when another 11,900 students will start working. The geography of efforts covers dozens of large facilities:

      - Automotive industry: KAMAZ conveyor belts.

      - Petrochemicals and energy: facilities of "Tatneft," "Rosatom," and "Gazprom."

      - Construction: SEZ "Alabuga" (composite production and construction).

      - Services and utilities: urban improvement, train stations, and camps.

      - Abroad: the "El-Dabaa" nuclear power plant in Egypt (9 people) and the Minsk Tractor Works in Belarus (15 people).

      In addition, more than 180 vacancies have been opened for minors at urban improvement sites in 23 districts of the republic.

      Professional training and career lift

      In the spring of 2026, nearly 2,900 students underwent training in 70 specialties at 38 educational institutions. The training covered 17 municipalities. Another 473 people gained skills directly at the student team center. The mentoring system at the production sites is yielding real results: more than 800 former team members who worked in "Alabuga," KAMAZ, and "POZIS" have already been enrolled in the permanent staff of these enterprises.

      How much they pay for labor

      The income level directly depends on the direction and schedule. The press service of the student teams of Tatarstan revealed salary details for the 2026 season:

      - Maximum: Construction sites in the SEZ "Alabuga" bring students more than 200,000 rubles per month.

      - High income: At composite production facilities in Yelabuga, one can earn about 150,000 rubles/month.

      - Starting level: At most sites for newcomers, income starts from 35,000 to 45,000 rubles.

      For those who combine work with production practice, the season can stretch for 4-5 months. In this case, the total earnings for summer and autumn reach 600,000 to 900,000 rubles. Minor participants ("Fifth Labor Quarter") earn less due to a reduced workday: their income for the summer ranges from 16,000 to 40,000 rubles depending on the number of shifts.

      International exchange and achievements

      In Almetyevsk, the medical project "Almedik" has been launched again, where 8 students from Belarus will come to work. In total, in July-August, 3,300 young people from 35 regions of Russia will arrive in Tatarstan for temporary work.

      Recall that last year, representatives of the republic won 14 prize places at the national award "Labor is Cool" in Krasnoyarsk. The results of the third semester of 2026 will be summarized in the fall.
