Fire safety at the "Kosmos" cinema: a lesson for young guests

      The "Kosmos" cinema in Zainsk became a venue for an educational event aimed at raising awareness among young guests about fire safety. The meeting with students from the school №4 summer camp and their teachers was conducted by Lilia Pisareva, the senior investigator of the OND and PR for the Zainsk municipal district, and Evgeny Stepanov, an employee of the 88th Fire Station of the 11th Fire and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in Tatarstan.

      During the event, key topics concerning the dangers of fires, precautionary measures, and ways to respond in emergency situations were discussed. The specialists detailed the risks associated with open flames, high temperatures, and toxic combustion products, as well as common causes of fires. Participants were reminded of the necessity to adhere to fire safety rules and were provided with current information about emergency service phone numbers.

      The children showed particular interest in getting acquainted with professional firefighting equipment. A fire station employee demonstrated the equipment, and the children had the opportunity to try on gas masks for respiratory protection.

      Next, a training evacuation took place, allowing the students to practice actions in the event of a simulated fire and learn how to safely exit the building. The process was organized to simulate a real emergency situation and was successfully completed.

      After that, on the territory adjacent to the cinema, the students were able to use fire extinguishers to extinguish a model fire, demonstrating the skills they had learned.

      The event concluded with a summary and a shared understanding that fire prevention is the best form of protection. Special attention was given to the fact that strict adherence to fire safety rules ensures the preservation of health and life. A total of 98 children and their teachers participated in the event.
