The Ministry of Labor of Tatarstan spoke about measures to support families in the republic.

      In the Republic of Tatarstan, the successful implementation of the national project "Family" continues, aimed at increasing the number of families with children and strengthening traditional values. Special attention is given to social support for families with children: low-income, large families, student families, and families living in rural areas. According to the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, support measures cover tens of thousands of residents of the republic, helping to create favorable conditions for the growth and development of the younger generation. Thus, in 2026, more than 98.4 thousand parents received compensation for kindergarten fees: 20% of the amount is paid for the first child, 50% for the second, and 70% for the third and subsequent children. In addition, 10.7 thousand families with an income of no more than 20 thousand rubles per month received additional compensation for childcare in educational institutions. Another 666 mothers living in rural areas received a one-time payment upon the birth of a child. For the first child, a woman under 25 receives 100 thousand rubles, and for the birth of the third and each subsequent child, a woman under 29 receives 200 thousand rubles. Annual payments of 10 thousand rubles for the purchase of medicines were received for 1.9 thousand children under three years old, and 732 newborns were provided with sets of children's supplies. Significant progress has been made in supporting large families: today there are over 59 thousand of them in Tatarstan. In 2026, 244.5 thousand people received a subsidy of 30% for housing and utility payments, 73.9 thousand students received a monthly travel subsidy, and 42.8 thousand children under six received a subsidy for free provision of medicines, the list of which is established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
