The village of Kildyushevo in the Tetyushi district has today become a national and cultural center for the Mordovian people living in Russia. The Mordvins living in the Tetyushi district have celebrated the Valda Shanyan holiday on the day of the summer solstice for centuries. The residents of Tetyushi still cherish these traditions. Today, creative teams from various districts of Tatarstan, the Ulyanovsk region, and even Kazakhstan gathered for this holiday. This event, which has gained fame throughout Russia, brought together thousands of people in one place. It has been held here for over 10 years. Guests were welcomed at the entrance to the celebration area with bread and salt and a national Mordovian drink – beer. Among the guests of the holiday were the honorary chairman of the State Council Farit Mukhametshin, the chairman of the Association "Council of Municipalities of RT" Agzam Gubaidullin, State Duma deputy Ildar Gilmutdinov, State Council deputy of RT Rinat Gayzatullin, and many others. Delegation representatives first visited the exhibitions of craftsmen and folk art masters from the Tetyushi district and interacted with the people. The celebration was opened by the head of the district, Rami Safiullin. He noted that the holiday is held on a larger scale each year and spoke about the work being done in the district to preserve national traditions. Then, Farid Mukhametshin took the stage. He described today's holiday as a celebration of the friendship of multinational peoples. State awards were presented to local residents who made significant contributions to the development of the Tetyushi district. Following this, Valda Shenyans began in the square. Folklore groups paraded in a festive procession.
