      In the first months of 2026, the demand for the electronic signature service "Goskluch" increased by 1.5 times compared to last year. More than 40 million citizens used the service, and over 55 million documents were signed.

      The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation summarized the results of using the state electronic signature service "Goskluch" for the first quarter of the current year. According to the official data from the agency, the number of users of the platform has significantly increased: from January to March 2026, Russians turned to this tool one and a half times more actively than in the same period last year. The total number of citizens who have already tried the functionality of the service exceeded forty million, and the total number of electronic documents signed with its help surpassed fifty-five million.

      The enhanced qualified electronic signature demonstrated particularly dynamic growth, with the number of operations involving it doubling during the reporting period. As for the enhanced non-qualified signature, its use also increased—almost one and a half times compared to last year's figures. Analysts from the ministry attribute this positive trend to the expansion of areas where the digital signature is becoming a familiar and reliable tool.

      The most in-demand scenarios for using the qualified signature were related to state needs and significant life events of citizens. With its help, people most often certified applications for various state services, prepared document packages for registering entrepreneurial activities, and formalized real estate transactions with the involvement of banking organizations. Additionally, this type of signature was actively used to send documents for signature to oneself—a sought-after option that simplifies personal document circulation.

      The non-qualified signature, in turn, was more useful for everyday and work-related matters. It gained the most popularity when applying for state services, concluding contracts with communication operators, processing personnel documentation within companies, as well as when interacting with non-state pension funds and for settling insurance cases under compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (OSAGO). This list shows that the electronic signature is gradually penetrating all layers of citizens' business and personal lives.

      The Ministry of Digital Development also emphasized that today, through the "Goskluch" portal, access is open to more than six hundred forty state services and various services. The technology has already been integrated into the business processes of over four thousand commercial companies, making it not just a government project but a full-fledged market product. Importantly, the electronic signature certificate can be issued completely free of charge, and the document signing process occurs entirely in digital format, without the need for paper carriers and personal presence. This saves time, reduces costs, and makes interaction with the government and counterparties much more comfortable for the modern user.
