      Today, the Supreme Court of Tatarstan is set to start the retrial of the former head of the Mendeleevsky and Pestrechinsky courts, Irek Nabiyev. According to sources from "Real Time," the charges against him have not changed, but more serious qualifying features have been added. In particular, while Nabiyev was previously accused of inciting the head of the inter-district tax inspection to exceed his authority, he is now charged with organizing this crime with the aim of blocking the re-registration of the "Kisher" firm outside Tatarstan. These actions led to all subsequent ones, including kidnapping, extortion of access to the account, and the administrative arrest of the drugged-up director of the company, Vyacheslav Utrobin. During this arrest, according to the investigation, the criminals used a forged passport to change the director of "Kisher," seized 76.8 million from the account, and legalized part of this amount by paying taxes for the counterparties.

      Recall that in February 2026, after questioning the victims and several witnesses, the Supreme Court of Tatarstan decided to return Nabiyev's case for further investigation, considering that his actions indicate a more serious offense. As noted by sources from "Real Time," the basis for such a decision could have been a new trend in overturning sentences issued for too "lenient" charges. The defense of the former judge challenged this decision, but the higher court upheld it.

      It is worth noting that at the stage of Alexander Bastrykin's appeal to the Higher Qualification Board of the Russian Federation for consent to prosecute Irek Nabiyev, the latter denied all allegations against him but preferred to leave the country. In 2025, he voluntarily returned, fully admitted his guilt, and began to request the expedited handling of the case to go to the Special Military Operation (SMO). Whether his confession position has changed will be known after the charges are announced in the retrial.

      In addition to the bouquet of episodes involving "Kisher" and Utrobin, the former chairman of two district courts is accused of receiving bribes in the form of foreign cars, other property, and services worth 17 million rubles, as well as a fraud disguised as a bribe transfer of 16 million rubles, where the status of the victim was granted to the former head of the PIZO of the Tukayevsky district, Intigam Dosmamedov. According to "Real Time," the presiding judge in the new trial will be Bulat Shamsutdinov.
