      During the Russia-ASEAN summit, which took place in Kazan from June 17 to 19, suburban trains transported more than 16,500 passengers. Of these, about 5,800 people were accredited participants of the forum — delegates, volunteers, and organizers, the Ministry of Transport of Tatarstan reported. More than 80 additional suburban trains were assigned for the transportation of guests along the Kazan — Airport route. The trains ran at intervals of 30 minutes to one hour. The number of additional trips was adjusted depending on the summit program and reached up to 39 per day on certain days. As reported by the Ministry of Transport of RT, special attention was paid to ensuring safety at railway infrastructure facilities during the summit. All suburban trains were accompanied by security service personnel, and volunteers and representatives of the suburban passenger company greeted participants at the stations.
