More than 200 participants gathered for the fourth eco-cycling race of SIBUR.

      The bike ride from the "Manzara" shopping center to the Petrochemical Park attracted experienced racers, beginners, and even family dynasties. The route was maximally comfortable for all categories of participants. Before the start, a warm-up, safety briefing, and parade formation were organized.

      — We have been holding the race for the fourth time now. This year, we tried to provide nice bonuses for families that come in full force: special T-shirts for dads, merchandise, headbands, and branded scarves. More than 200 people registered, — said Svetlana Rachkova, the leading specialist in health promotion and healthy lifestyle advocacy.

      People of various cycling experience gathered for the bike ride. Alexander Nosov, an energy production mechanic, admitted that he has been friends with a bicycle for over 40 years.

      — I didn't plan to come here today; I was heading to the store when I saw our flags. How could I pass by? A bicycle for me is a habit; I ride every morning from seven to twelve, in any weather. We are people of Soviet upbringing; this is normal for us, — confessed Alexander Nosov.

      Aidar Minabutdinov, the head of the energy production section, came to the race for the third time — and again with his children.

      — We participate in the bike ride every year. The older one has participated twice; this is the first trip for the younger one. He is four years old, the older one is six — but this is his second time. For us, cycling is a family tradition, — said Aidar Minabutdinov.

      At the final point in the Petrochemical Park, the organizers distributed healthy snacks and refreshing drinks so that participants could regain their strength after the ride. The atmosphere was warm and truly family-like: some discussed the route, while others shared impressions.

      Planning engineer Lyudmila Budkova came to the race with her son Dima, nephew Andrey, and sister Anastasia. According to her, each outing is special in its own way. And this format is twice as interesting.

      — For us, cycling is time spent with family and an active lifestyle. Such events bring us closer not only as a family but also with colleagues. We are like a big family. We really liked the eco-bike ride format, and the snack at the finish is a nice bonus, — noted Lyudmila Budkova.
